To celebrate 20 years of Mandarin Oriental Tokyo, the hotel hosted a gala dinner on November 28, 2025, in their newly redesigned Grand Ballroom. Sensu Studio was invited to photograph the event, capturing the red carpet arrivals, key moments of the evening, and the immersive seven-course culinary journey presented for guests.
The celebration drew inspiration from the Japanese folded fan, a symbol of gratitude and new beginnings, which influenced the night’s culinary presentation, projection art, and performances. Sensu Studio captured the detailed design and the overall atmosphere, reflecting the hotel’s tradition, craftsmanship, and heritage.
A selection of photos was delivered the next day and featured on Mandarin Oriental Tokyo’s official social media accounts, with the full set of edited and retouched images delivered shortly after.
